How to Delete an App

Applications can take up a ton of memory in your mobile phone or other devices so it is important that you delete or uninstall idle applications as to save storage. If you do not want to use them, have broken links or just simply consume a great deal of your memory, it is best to remove them permanently. If you do not know how to delete a app, here are several steps on how do you uninstall an app in Android and Apple devices:

Apple:

Select the application that you want to be deleted until all the icons will begin to wiggle.

Tap the X in the upper left corner of the application that you want to be deleted or uninstalled.

A box will appear informing you that in deleting the application would mean deletion of all its data. If you are sure, you can press the delete button.

Deleting it in your phone does not entire mean that the application is permanently removed as all files you have downloaded are transferred into your iTunes library. To get rid of it permanently, you have to delete it in your iTunes library and sync the changes in your iPhone.

Android:

If this is your first time deleting and do not have any idea on how do you delete apps, it is important to note that uninstalling in Android would mean deletion of the application.

Find the Application menu in your phone and launch Google Play Application or Play Store as this is the same tool that you used to download and install the application.

In your Play Store home screen, navigate to “My Downloads” section in which you will find all the application that you have installed in your phone.

In “My Downloads”, find the application that you want to delete in the list. After pressing the application that you want to remove, you will be directed to the detail page of the app. In this page, you will find the “Uninstall” button; one press and it will be permanently gone.
